Hi, I'm Kerry, aka 'Scribbles' and, although I do scribble a lot the nickname is actually my  Trail Name. In 2011 I thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail (AT). 

 

By profession I am a corporate event planner which has allowed me to travel extensively and fueled my passions for food and wine, hiking, reading and more travel.

 

My sweet husband, Garry, his Trail Name is 'Stops-A-Lot' which I suppose is self-explanatory... and I, now live in North Carolina. After living in Georgia on and off for the better part of 30+ years we sold our home and moved to our 650 square foot cabin. With an 80 pound Vizsla named Jake! Now we are in the beginning stages of building a new home on Miller Mountain which we have named Higher Ground.

 

This site will follow our home building journey. We have a Pinterest board which you are welcome to visit and comment on. I'll also be posting pictures on this site.

 

And, because cooking, eating good food and drinking good wine are passions of mine I will be sharing recipes and some wines we like.
